ELWIND has signed a contract with The Offshore Wind Consultants (OWC) to provide technical expert services for the ELWIND offshore wind development studies. Under the contract, OWC will support ELWIND during the pre-development phase by delivering independent technical oversight and expert advice across critical study areas.
The scope includes technical support for a metocean in-situ measurement campaign, geophysical and geotechnical surveys, and comprehensive wind resource assessment studies in Estonian and Latvian offshore areas. OWC will review the quality of all data collected during these surveys, verify that it meets the requirements of the contracted work, validate methodologies, and ensure that the datasets meet high technical standards.
OWC will also monitor data integration, assess technical risks, and advise on any additional investigations needed to support engineering design and environmental assessments. OWC’s involvement will strengthen the reliability, consistency, and usability of the study results.
This technical assistance will provide ELWIND and future developers with a robust and high-quality foundation for planning, decision-making, and the successful advancement of the ELWIND offshore wind project.
